A press conference has been organized at the Ministry of Education on Wednesday (September 30) to announce the government’s overall decision on whether the educational institution will reopen under coronavirus conditions and when the HSC exams will be completed.
Education Minister Dipu Moni will present the overall information at a press conference on the same day at 12 noon, said Mohammad Abul Khair, public relations officer of the ministry.
He told the media that there are many questions about education including HSC exams due to Corona. In particular, students and parents are worried about the HSC exams even after the end of the year. There are also concerns about whether there will be annual examinations in different classes. The press conference will be held to allay the concerns of students and parents.
After the cabinet meeting on Monday, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said that even if the concerned ministries are empowered to take a decision at this time, the ministry will seek the advice of the cabinet or the prime minister.
“We have said that any sector has been assigned to the Responsive Ministry,” the secretary said. The authorities will take action at their own discretion.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education wants to organize HSC examination if the situation is not normal. Three proposals have been prepared by the Board of Education and sent to the Ministry for conducting this examination.
The proposals sent to the Ministry of Education for conducting the examinations are to increase the number of centers, reduce the syllabus and marks, and reduce the subject of examinations. These proposals are currently being monitored.
